  • Home Sweet Home
  • When I'm @ someones house: the one farthest away from the crowd
  • @ the Mall: Macy's (as public bathrooms go this one is very nice)
  • If I can't make it to Macy's...JC Penney's will have to do (they recently remodeled so it is better than it was. I don't know why they didn't ask for my input???)
  • Monterey Bay Fish Grotto in Monroeville has a great bathroom
  • Ponte Vedra Inn and Club, My fav place to vacation, their rooms have the most wonderful bathrooms

Crohns and Holidays

Enjoying the holidays when you have Crohns isn't always easy. First there is all the shopping for gifts.

This can be stressful and we know what stress does...FLARE! Do I skip breakfast so that I can shop without having to run to the nearest bathroom? If I do, that leaves me with little energy to do all that walking from store to store. Since I skipped breakfast do I risk stopping to have some lunch or do I just get as much shopping done as I can and then go home and eat for the rest of the day. If I wait till I get home I will probably have developed a migraine and need to crawl under a blanket. (Repeat the above at least 3 days per week up until December 24th)

Social functions...Again, don't eat all day because there will be lots of great food and drink that I probably shouldn't be eating and drinking.

A party = A crowded house after I eat a little of everything (because I'm so hungry)...oh dear please have more than one bathroom!

(Ok I don't expect anyone to have this in their house...I actually prefer a lot more privacy)

Ok now that I'm really exhausted its time to spend an entire day wrapping gifts (usually December 23th).

Eating is ok today because I'm home sweet home. However don't wrap a gift run to the bathroom (before you put a tag on it) and come back and not remember who its for...unwrap...rewrap...tag!

December 24th is spent cooking the Christmas eve feast of fishes...

Next year I am going to ask Mario to cook for me :)

Now its Christmas morning and it was all worth it...Church first and then relaxing with my wonderful family.

This year dinner at my nieces house (G's first Christmas)

with several wardrobe changes...

and dessert at my brothers house

and a week to recover for New Years Eve!

Love, Laugh, and Always know where the nearest bathroom is
