White Christmas and a Wonderful "Ladies Tea"

WWII vets-turned-entertainers scheme to help a retired general with his strapped New England inn by putting on a big musical show with the help of their army buddies and a singing sister act.

One of my favorite Christmas movies and a wonderful way to spend a Saturday with family and friends.
We start the day at K's house for a wonderful breakfast. Then off to the theater. If you love this movie you must, MUST see it on the big screen.

We even made some new friends

One of my favorite scenes in the movie is "Sisters"

That one is great but my favorite is this one

Cracks me up every time.

After the movie we went to R's house for a lovely Ladies Tea (given by her mom Mrs. H)
She shared a Christmas devotional and Christmas memories with us and crocheted each of us a set of beautiful doilies

Problem + Solution + Better Solution Thanks to Santa's Elves

Once upon a time I had a beautiful prelit tree with all white lights. One of my favorite things to do during Christmas is turn the tree on and turn all the other lights out. I love sitting and looking at my beautiful Christmas tree.

This year when I put my tree up a few of the strands were out. No problem…I had a few small strands of white lights and I was able to use them to light up the dark areas.

Then a few days later I turned my tree on

Problem:

3/4 of the tree was out.

It was so sad looking.

Solution:
I put my LED snowflakes on the tree

A little better but still sad

Better Solution:
Santa's elves came along and put some colored lights on the tree

Much better now

Our Annual Christmas Movie Day

We had our annual Christmas movie day the day after Thanksgiving. My men left in the morning to go hunting and me and my girls spent the rest of the day/evening talking, eating Thanksgiving leftovers, watching Christmas movies, eating Christmas goodies, Christmas Karaoke, and more eating :)

New River Gorge

On the way home we stopped at the New River Gorge. It was in full fall bloom…so beautiful.

Another opportunity for P to get another stamp in her book. The Passport To Your National Parks® program is a wonderful educational program for kids (and adults :)

Back to NC and the adventures of Frog

After touring Fort Sumter we headed back to M's house in NC

Now for the adventures of Frog in NC
Frog belongs to my sis-in-law and her co-workers…they take Frog with them when they travel and Frog loves to have his picture taken in the most unusual places.
But first she had to visit the ladies room

Then out to dinner
