@ the Mall: Macy's (as public bathrooms go this one is very nice)
If I can't make it to Macy's...JC Penney's will have to do (they recently remodeled so it is better than it was. I don't know why they didn't ask for my input???)

Wow...Its been a while...baseball and traveling have been keeping me very busy. Its been great though. We were able to go to just about every college game. I've taken LOTS of pictures and enjoyed watching my boys play together. The team did great. First place in their conference for the regular season and they won the championship tournament. Go Redhawks!!! J, when called upon, pitched great and B played every game but 1 at 3rd or 1st base and hit great. His stats for his freshman year are amazing...drum roll....Brian was named newcomer of the year for their conference and he made the all conference team. I'm so proud of both of them.
I've also been doing some traveling with hubby. More trips to the beach YAY! A trip to DC with my nieces and a wonderful family vacation in the Outer Banks. Unfortunately I got a bad cold at the beach that got worse when we came home and I followed that up with a migraine that sent me to bed this past weekend blahhhhhhh.
As for my gut...well I was doing so well for a couple months but now (for the last 2 months) I'm back to the same old same old. At first I thought I had a flu bug but no its the beast saying I'm still here...ugh This of course made baseball and traveling a challenge. Lets just say I got to visit a record breaking amount of bathrooms. Some good, some bad, and some down right ugly.
Right before I left for our family vacation I had my first appointment with my new GI doctor. He is wonderful!!! We reviewed my history and he of course wants me to have a colonoscopy and an ultrasound. Both are scheduled for the 27th yippie! He ordered bloodwork---15 tubes!!! When I got home from the Outer Banks I had a letter waiting for me with the results of my B12 level. Lowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww so now I am doing the B12 shots. Once a week for 4 weeks and then once a month. I had my first one today. I really hope it gives me some extra energy. I'm so tired of being tired. I'll keep you posted

My beautiful niece Kassandra and my beautiful (big:) sister Carol started the team “Steppin’ Out For Catherine Sarah” for the 2010 Take Steps, Be Heard For Crohn’s and Colitis Pittsburgh, PA Walk on June 13th 2010 in Schenley Park. The goal was to raise money and awareness for a cure for me (Crohns) and my beautiful niece Sarah (Colitis) and the million plus American adults and children who are affected by these diseases. I hope we can all walk again next year

Signs you are a crohnie: You're the only person you know that wants to eat salad but you can't.
I'm convinced everyone in this world has some form of OCD. My OCD just happens to be "Obsessive Crohn's Disease".

Bathroom graffiti under a sign that said "Employees Must Wash Hands" someone wrote: I waited and waited, but I finally washed them myself.

Baseball Quotes
"You see, you spend a good piece of your life gripping a baseball, and in the end it turns out that it was the other way around all the time." Jim Bouton, Ball Four, 1970
"A ball player's got to be kept hungry to become a big-leaguer. That's why no boy from a rich family ever made the big leagues."
Joe DiMaggio, quoted in New York Times, 30 April 1961
"The other sports are just sports. Baseball is a love."
Bryant Gumbel, 1981
Fun Facts
The three days of Christmas: It will take up to 72 hours to digest your holiday dinner. Carbs (stuffing and pumpkin pie) will be processed first. The dry, overcooked protein that is your holiday turkey will come next. Fat (gravy and whiped cream) will be the last to go. However if you have Crohns I predict that it will be out in less then 72 minutes.
The small intestine contains so many folds-down to the microscopic level-that its total surface area is about 2,700 square feet, enough to cover a tennis court.....1 inch of that with crohns = tons of horrible, unbelievable pain and it is amazing how quickly food can pass through it!!!
The gastrointestinal tract is a 30 foot tube....unless you've had some of it removed like me!!!
